Privacy, security, and financial-advice boundary

ThetaBite is a read-only cash-flow planning cockpit. It explains forecasts from connected, imported, or demo data; it does not move money, pay bills, trade, cancel subscriptions, or provide individualized investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice.

Data handling

• Private beta data can be saved both in your browser and in ThetaBite's server-side beta database for forecast runs, scenario runs, audit logs, AI tool calls, export, and deletion flows.
• Provider tokens must be encrypted before database storage; plaintext tokens are not stored in browser state or database token records.
• Provider records remain immutable and normalized into ThetaBite's model.
• User corrections are append-only events and remain auditable.

User control

• Export local JSON from the Data view for browser state.
• Export server JSON from the Data view for database-backed beta records tied to your signed-in email.
• Reset local data from the Data view to delete browser-stored accounts, transactions, corrections, AI logs, and audit events.
• Delete account data from the Data view to remove server-side beta records and clear the beta session.
• CSV/demo fallback remains available when provider access is unavailable.

AI safety

• AI output is bounded by deterministic forecast, review, and budget tools.
• AI can propose review items only; it cannot mutate financial truth.
• Every AI brief stores prompts, tool outputs, citations, and confidence.
